MCL-Designer Device Plug-In

Capitalize on Each Device’s Uniqueness

Not only does MCL-Collection support an extensive list of mobile computers and barcode label printers… it also supports a wide range of capabilities on the various devices.

To recognize the capabilities of each device, they each have an MCL-Designer Device Plug-in (DDP). The DDP describes, to MCL-Designer, the model and features of said device. It indicates, for example, if MCL supports barcode scanning, voice recognition, WiFi, GPRS, Bluetooth, GPS, and so on, on the given device.

Thanks to DDP, your application can take advantage of the unique features of each device. When you are developing your application, simply choose the capabilities you need from the feature set available for your target device.

Note: MCL-Designer requires at least one DDP.
